Here is the Latest:
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at the Nevala Ranch!
Nevala Ranch broodmare RM Jus Showin Off's son Hes Assure Thing (bred and raised by Mark and Lori Dolan) and his rider Julie DeNapoli won the Average at the 2009 WPRA Southeastern Circuit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlwGifybgX0&feature=channel (Rm Jus Showin Off has raised us two exceptional colts out of our stud Tiny Bit of Luck and bred back the same for 2010). Congrats Julie and Comet !! and good luck with Jus Waitin on Luck "Uno"--the first foal by Tiny Bit of Luck.
Congrats to Tammy Whyte and Luckys Tiny Bit "Cisco" on another phenominal year! http://www.wpra.com/standings_circuit_gl.asp and congrats to Tammy and daughter Brandi with Andy Little Bit "Andy" on your recent success at the MNNBHA all district barrel race and Kirkwood, Iowa fall barrel race in the 1D!
Adeline and her mares had an awesome weekend in September winning the Pee Wee average at the Cowgirl Tuff Co barrel race--winning a buckle and second place at the WSCA Champ Show in Pee Wee Barrels- both on Jetiny Bee Glorious "Jetta" not bad for an 8 year old girl and a 20 year old mare.
Our last foal for the year. Thank gosh the mare did not go 419 days like last year. She was "Normal" at 335 days this time. Cute filly.
We call her Raven, her registered name will be Passing Luck, (as our pal Murphy died 2 days prior to her arrival. Murphy was a well known calf roping and breakaway horse in the midwest-he was 30.) Raven is sired by Tiny Bit of Luck
August 2009 WOW, where did the summer go. We have been busy, working on the young ones and enjoying the new foals. Adeline and Jetta are the 2009 Bemidji Pee Wee Champions. They won the 1D for all three of the barrel races in the series!!

Nevala Ranch has teamed up with United Vet Equine to sponsor some awards at the MBRA, R&J Futurity and the JJ Classic Futurity and Derby. These awards are called the HomeGrown. This is awarded to the highest placing horse that was bred, owned and ridden all within one family. The purpose is to reward those that follow through on the whole process of breeding, raising and riding barrel horses. United Vet Equine will sponsor a YEARS supply of Hylagen-60 valued over $500 and the Nevala Ranch will donate a free breeding to Tiny Bit of Luck!
MBRA Futurity winner: Patti Hovland on Frenchys Frosty. Raised by the Manor Family

May 2009 Edition
Busy, Busy, Busy at the Nevala Ranch. Kirby has been getting himself a nice set of mares to cover this spring.
We had a barrel racing clinic at the Ranch: met lots of new friends and hope that everyone learned lots. (congrats Holly for winning the 1D in both of your classes the next day) Everyone keep working on the excercises and the results will come. It sounds like there is interest in more of these day clinics. We can set one up during the week or possibly on the weekend. $50 a person, lunch provided and receive a free sample of a United Vet Equine Supplement. Minimum of 4 people needed.
Check out the video page: I have added Adelines first "official" run on Jetta. They won the 1D Peewee all by themselves! We are so proud. (the last time Christine ran Jetta was in 2004 at the BBR finals and as you can tell Jetta has not missed a beat after raising us three awesome fillys by Lucks Lucky)

Spring has arrived and the Nevala Ranch is back into the full swing of things. Training horses have arrived along with some "girlfriends" for Kirby. He has been a happy boy the last few weeks. Tiny Bit of Lucks 2009 foals should be arriving any day. Our mares bred to him are both late this year---Missy and Jodi will be foaling late summer. We really are liking what we are seeing of his first two foals Uno and Amiga. As soon as the rest of their winter hairs falls off I will update their pictures.
I have had interest in putting on some day seminars here at the ranch, if you have a group (or would like to come by yourself) please give us a call to arrange a time. I will tailor it to "your" needs. You can reach Christine on her cell 701-388-1069
After shoeing our horses for the last few years, Ross has decided to take on outside clients. Call Ross at 701-388-1068 to set up an appointment.

And the next morning we welcomed "Amiga" Tiny Bit of Lucks second foal. We waited 419 days for her arrival. The Dam is Grajetta Deck.

Adeline had another great weekend at the MBRA Double Barrel Days. She was the Pee Wee High Point Rider and the Youth 4D High Point Rider! Horse: Gracie

Adelines first MnNBHA finals. She was 2nd in the Pee Wee and won the 4d youth long go. In the short go Adeline ran a faster time and was in the youth 3d!!!

Here is one of her runs--she got faster each time!!
Adeline and Gracie won the highpoint PeeWee at Bagley. It was a 3 week series and Adeline won the PeeWees each time!!

Jetta is back! (19 years young and FULL sister to Bull) We pulled her out of the pasture and she is back hazing, helping many cowboys to the pay window at PRCA and MRA rodeos! Here is a link to Ross winning Gonvick on his neat paint horse Crow and Jetta hazing.
